Conan O'Brien On Latinos: 18 Years From Now The U.S. President Could Be Mario Lopez (VIDEO)

WATCH: Mario Lopez For President?

Latinos are the future of the United States, and if you don’t believe us just ask late-night talk-show host Conan O’Brien.

At the 2013 White House Correspondents Dinner the comedian poked fun at the fast changing American demographics, especially the heavy influence Latinos are exerting in it.

He went even further implying that a couple of years from now the nation’s president could be of Hispanic descent, and suggesting Mexican-American star Mario Lopez would be a good fit for the position. Spanish would also be the primary language spoken during President Lopez's Correspondents Dinner.

“The demographics of this country have been rapidly changing over the past two decades, and I look forward to host this event 18 years from now. Then my opening line would be: ‘Buenas noches es un honor poder hablar en esta cena de los corresponsales de la Clasa Blanca. Sí, especialmente al presidente Mario Lopez. [Good night, it is an honor to be able to speak at this White House Correspondents Dinner. Yes, especially to the President Mario Lopez.]”

In the next two decades, it is expected that Latinos who are eligible to vote will double from 23.7 million to about 40 million by 2032, according to the Pew report. In 2012, Latinos comprised 11 percent of the electorate. They will make up 16 percent of eligible voters by 2032, the report said.
