Undercover Officer Accidentally Kicks NYPD Cop (VIDEO)

WATCH: Undercover Officer Accidentally Kicks Cop

Ain't that a kick in the head?

Video has emerged of an undercover NYPD officer accidentally kicking a uniformed cop while both are trying to handcuff a suspected farebeater, according to DNA Info. The undercover officer apparently mistook his colleague for the suspect.

Shortly after he kicks the uniformed officer, the undercover cop appears to punch the suspect in the face.

The incident took place in January at the Sillwell Avenue station in Brooklyn, but the video emerged this month, prompted investigations by the NYPD's Internal Affairs Bureau and the Brooklyn District Attorney's office.

The officer, whose name has not been released, has been stripped of his badge and gun while the investigations take place.

The video shows two uniformed police officers struggling with a suspect. Soon, a flood of officers, including the undercover cop in question, rush to help handcuff the suspect. Officers can be heard yelling at the suspect to "stop resisting" and "give up your hands."

Since July, the NYPD has been in the spotlight after the death of Eric Garner, who was put in a chokehold and later died. Police tried to arrest him for allegedly selling untaxed cigarettes.

More recently, the NYPD caught heat for a video that appeared to show an officer throwing a pregnant woman to the ground.
