Corey Scott ARRESTED After Cops Find $1.5 Million Worth Of Drugs In Car During Traffic Stop

Police making a routine traffic stop Monday got more than they bargained for when they found $1.5 million worth of cocaine and heroin in a laundry bag inside the vehicle.

About 10 p.m. Monday, officers noticed a vehicle making abrupt lane changes near the 2100 block of West Van Buren, according to a release from police News Affairs. The officers pulled the vehicle over, and the driver, Corey Scott, gave them his driver's license and an invalid insurance card.

"Officers continued their investigation and observed a large bag on the front seat of the vehicle," according to the release. "Scott appeared nervous as he told the officers that the bag contained laundry, but a drug sniffing canine detected the bag contained narcotics."

The bag allegedly contained large amounts of cocaine and heroin.

Scott, 37, of Chicago, was charged with two felony counts of possession of a controlled substance and cited for making an improper lane change without a signal and operating a motor vehicle without insurance, according to police.
