'Deadliest Catch' Premiere: Changing Quota Leads To Even More Dangerous Waters (VIDEO)

'Deadliest Catch': Heading Into More Dangerous Waters

When the fishermen arrived in Alaska they discovered that the state has cut the red crab quota in half. That means they may have to modify their strategies on this season of "Deadliest Catch" (Tue., 9 p.m. ET on Discovery). The young guns decide to head up north, to more dangerous waters, in search of blue crabs, while the veterans take their chances by sticking with the red.

The Ramblin' Rose quickly learns the increased danger they've take on when a massive wave knocks engineer Aaron Steiner to the deck, where he knocks his head. The early hauls are a little lean -- blue crabs are notoriously more difficult to find -- but there's a lot of season left.

Diane Zee speculates on Gather.com if things can get any worse? "Oh yes," she concludes. "This is 'Deadliest Catch.'"
