Debbie Reynolds Talks Elizabeth Taylor, Eddie Fisher On 'The View' (VIDEO)

WATCH: Debbie Reynolds 'Completely Over' Liz Taylor 'Stealing' Her Husband

Debbie Reynolds dished about her old friend Elizabeth Taylor, whom she grew up with, on The View Friday, recalling tumultuous period in their friendship after Taylor “stole” her then-husband, Eddie Fisher.

“He saw Elizabeth after he married me and he thought she was really cute,” Reynolds said. “You can’t make a man leave a woman unless he wants to go.”

Taylor, who passed away nearly three weeks ago from congestive heart failure, married Reynold’s ex-husband merely three and a half hours after their divorce was finalized.

“Elizabeth loved life, and I know because she took part of mine,” Reynolds joked. “I’m completely over it.”

Taylor and Reynolds made amends on a cruise ship years later, after Taylor had divorced Fisher and remarried Richard Burton. Reynolds had remarried as well.

“When you’re young girls in school and growing up together, why should it be broken up by a man that doesn’t really matter in the end?” Reynolds said of their friendship.
