Couple Weds In Delivery Room Minutes Before Daughter's Birth

This Couple Had A Very, Very, Very Last-Minute Wedding

February 23 was a big day for Brandi and James Anderson.

Not only did the couple welcome a daughter together, but they also got married -- in the delivery room at North Hills Hospital in North Richland Hills, Texas.

According to CBS affiliate KHOU, while Brandi was waiting for an epidural earlier that morning, James planned a last-minute delivery room wedding -- without his wife-to-be's knowledge.

After getting approval from the nurses ("The general consensus was 'aww,'" said nurse Ashley Campbell) James ran out to buy his soon-to-be-wife a ring.

“I just couldn’t shake the idea of her having the baby without the ring on her finger,” he said.

Once all the elements were in place, Brandi was wheeled into a room that the nurses had decorated for the occasion. The unsuspecting bride-to-be was caught completely by surprise.

"All these people started walking in and I was like…I looked at [James] and there was somebody else there," Brandi told KHOU. "And I was like, ‘Who is that guy’ and he was like, ‘That’s the minister’ and I was like, ‘What for?’”

Moments later, the couple was married. Half an hour later, they welcomed daughter Janelle into the world.
