Demi Lovato Wears Strange Hairdo To 'X-Factor' Auditions (PHOTOS)

Demi Lovato has been using her "X-Factor" tour as a time to take her look to the next level. Just last month, the singer took the pink ombre plunge, but now it looks like she's taken her hairstyle to new, er, heights.

While co-judge Britney Spears has been streamlining her image with simple dresses and feminine curls, Demi has taken on the role of subversive style "X-Factor" judge. During auditions for the show in Greensboro, North Carolina, the former brunette wore her blonde and pink locks in an over-the-top pompadour.

Even though we usually appreciate when celebrities try out new hair, the half up, half down style made for a bit of a strange look on the young star. Demi didn't seem to let her hair take center stage either, wearing a neon orange lace dress, leather biker jacket and exaggerated winged out eyeliner -- very rockabilly gone pop.
