Don't you ever want to hit something? Badly? Jake Gyllenhaal knows how you feel -- or at least his character in "Demolition" does.

Gyllenhaal plays Davis, an investment banker struggling to process the loss of his wife, who died in a freak car crash. After a candy bar gets stuck in the hospital vending machine, Davis writes a series of revealing letters to the manufacturer, ultimately striking up a friendship with a customer-service rep (Naomi Watts) and her teenage son (Judah Lewis). It's said son who later aids Davis in taking a sledgehammer to his home, attempting to shatter the grief that quietly haunts him.

When Jean-Marc Vallée introduced "Demolition" at its Toronto Film Festival premiere last September, the "Wild" and "Dallas Buyers Club" director called it the "most rock 'n' roll film" he's made. The Huffington Post has an exclusive clip of Davis' titular demolition, and it confirms Vallée's hypothesis. Watch below. The movie opens in the U.S. on April 8 and in the U.K. on April 29.
