Principal Belding is officially a college graduate!
Dennis Haskins, known for playing the principal on "Saved by the Bell," graduated from college over the weekend and shared the news with his followers on what appears to be his official Instagram page.
"It's official! Tassel moved from right to left! I'm a graduate! #UTC#TheaterandSpeech #GoMocs," he captioned the pic.
He also shared an image of him and his classmates, thanking them for their support.
The 65-year-old actor studied at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, and earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in theater.
To make the moment even sweeter, Haskins was presented with his diploma while the "Saved by the Bell" theme music played. You can see him walk across the stage at about 1:36:45 in the video below:
In a statement on the university's website, Haskins said:
"As successful as some have said I've been, from the incredible success of 'Saved by the Bell,' other quality acting roles, the books I've written, and even UTC Distinguished Alumni in 2000, there's always been something missing for me -- my college degree.
"Now, with the forward thinking policies of this great university that I love so much that have benefited many other graduates, I join these graduates in holding my head high having earned my liberal arts degree in theater from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga."
Congrats, Mr. Belding!
