This for me is one of the most exciting time of the year. The end of the year.

Because this is a great time to reflect, project, acknowledge, plan, learn, visualize, compile.

Speaking of which…

I have a grateful box.Do you know what it is ?

It’s a box filled with moments that my life partner, my son and I went through and that were happy, proud, special. In othwer words, they were worth to be written on a piece of paper.

On December 31st, we’ll take time to read them all and recognize how much happiness was in our lives this year and how we are grateful for what we have, who we are and what we’ve accomplished.

Talking about accomplishments….

I wanted to share with you the top 10 episodes of MTCYC podcast for the year 2016.

The ones that touched you the most. The most listened to.The ones who meant the most to you.

So let’s go.

Jay has written a book called « Hug your Haters ».

And it could not be more actual than today.

Everyone and every business has to deal with the power of the Internet and social media.

Information can be transmitted internationally in seconds. And haters are everywhere. But most importantly, there is a way to act with them, react to what they say, and learn from them. Like Jay says : « It’s good to have haters ! »

I remember that at first, I was kind of intrigued by why we should hug them.Just the idea of hugging the enemy was kind of weird for me…

But I get his message now.I read the book. And it’s game changing.

Communicating with your haters is a huge opportunity for you to improve. If you haven’t listened to that one yet, do it.

In this episode, Lindsay goes in details about how to make sure to have effective marketing.

How it’s important to say the right message to the right audience. How you must spread that message via many communication media. How we have so many possibilities.

I remember my first Internet connection.

It would take about one minute to get the connection.Than, another 20 seconds to load a page.

We are so far from this now. There are so many opportunities nowadays that did not exist 10 years ago. So let’s take advantage of them !

In this episode, Rick shares the crucial ingredients to be a great entrepreneur: Passion, People & Profit. As you already know, there are several points of view about passion.• Follow your passion and the money will follow.• Follow your curiosity and then passion might occur.• Passion is not always necessary. No matter on which side you stand, let’s say that passion is a huge helper in transmitting your message to your audience. It makes you shine. It gives you the energy boost. It triggers your will to go deeper and learn more and more about your expertise.

But of course, passion is not enough. People should be your primary concern. Serve your people as well as possible.

And no, passion and people are not enough either for a profitable business. You’ve got to think about how to make your business flourish, how to make it profitable and sustainable.

Then, and only then, it will become a win-win-win situation. For you, for your audience and for your business.

No wonder this episode was popular this year. Because we talk about selling. And a lot of people struggle with that.

I don’t know why, but there are so many entrepreneurs that still think that selling has to do with promotion, convincing, high energy and a thousand follow-ups. Talk talk talk talk until the person listening is tired and buys. And this is soooo wrong.

As Andy says : « Selling is a service you are providing somebody to make a decision. »Selling is just showing your audience the evidence that you, your product or/and your services are the solution to their problem.

With time, I understood that selling has nothing to do with hype. People buy from you because they know you, like you & trust you.

“One should leave everything and everyone better than they were before we met. By bringing positivity and abundance to others, you can’t go wrong.”

I have to admit that Jordan and I share that same value and believe in the power of the inner circle.

The more you surround yourself with people that you can learn from, but also that you can bring so much to, the more you grow and the more powerful these connections become.

And business is about relationships. Yes, it’s about what you know, but most of all, it’s about who you know.

The more you care, the more you bring to others and the more you can help, the better you become. As a person, but also as a business owner.

You might also be, like Jenn & I, an introvert. Someone who decides to stay home with a good book instead of attending the party of the year. Someone who feels better in small groups, than in bigger crowds.

But it does not mean that because you are an introvert, that you can’t be successful in business, that you can’t adapt and shine in front of a group.

It seems that a lot of the great speakers are introverts (isn’t that great news ?)Really.

Getting out of your comfort zone is something you must nurture in order to grow. You can do this.

Social media is huge. People post and post and post and post.To get likes. To get attention. To get business.

But what you will learn in this episode is how to make people SHARE what you post.

And on social media, that is THE best skill to own.Because you will expand your reach.Tremendously.

This episode was popular, because we go deep on a few lessons that are crucial to help build your online business the right way.

You must know that there are so many wrong ways to do it.You might have even tried these ways.

Because so many people decide to launch their online business out of an idea. Not out of knowing if people really care about that idea.Or if there is a market for it.And if there will be a return on investment.

This interview is a great reminder on what’s important to consider when you are starting your online business.

Clients Attraction. One of the most popular subjects in the online marketing world !How were you this year ?Did you attract a lot of clients ?

In this interview, Russ makes you think about your system to attract and retain clients. Is it effective ?

Are you still trading too much time for money ?

Is there a better way to organize your online business ?

If you are overwhelmed and feel like it’s time for you to have more time working on the business instead of in the business, listen to this episode.

Ok. Be honnest with me.

Have you ever thought about selling your online business ?

What if someone one day comes to you and wants to buy your platforms or your business ?Are you ready for it ?

Do you have data about how it works, who does what, which systems are in place and so on ?

Kerry will make you reflect and act on your online business organization.

She will make you save time energy and money in case you have to step down from your CEO, president position to have someone else taking care of it for you temporarily (if you are sick for example) or for ever (if you do decide to sell).

Huge value.About a subject that only a few people address about their online business.

There you have it.

The top 10 episodes of Marketing to Crush your Competitors Podcast.A huge Congratulations to all the Winners.

You had made a difference in so many lives this year.

And thinking about it, isn’t that why we are all in business for ?

It’s funny because when people ask me in what business I am in, I often reply :« In the Business of Changing Lives. »

Nothing compares to me seeing a client of mine make sales or shine at an event.Nor someone from my audience making a testimonial about how I inspired them to accomplish something.Nor an interviewee telling me how unique my interview style is and how I make him/her feel comfortable.

I sincerely hope that these top 10 interviews and all the others that I published since I started my podcast make you learn something about yourself, about your business, or about your life that influences you to become a better person, have a better business or enjoy your life better.

From the bottom of my heart, thanks for following my work.

I appreciate you !

PS Now, tell me in the comments, what was your favorite episode and why ?
