'Dismembered' Body Found On CTA Blue Line

The conductor of a CTA Blue Line train made a gruesome discovery early Monday morning when he saw a man's body on the tracks near the LaSalle St. station.

Police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro said in the Sun-Times the 'L' train conductor saw the "dismembered" body as he pulled into the station around 1:45 a.m. noting the man had apparently been hit by an oncoming train.

According to the Cook County Medical Examiner, the body appeared to be on the tracks "for some time" before the grisly discovery, reports ABC Chicago.

Most recently, a a man died in November from being struck by a Blue Line train at the Logan Square station after falling on the tracks, according to NBC Chicago. The death was ruled accidental.
