Diving Deer Discovered In Asia

Ever heard of a diving deer?

Scientists believe they have discovered a breed of deer which dives into water to escape predators, reports the BBC.

Studies of mouse-deer which are found in Asia, have shown that the small deer, which don't usually have antlers, dash into the nearest water source to submerge themselves until they feel it's safe to come out again.

An African mouse-deer species is also known to follow this bizarre pattern, and the discovery is seen as support for the idea that whales evolved from deer-like water-lovers.
