Lotion Bar: A DIY Mother's Day Gift Idea That Only Costs $10-$15

DIY Mother's Day Gift Idea For Under $20: Lotion Bars

If there's one thing every Mom loves, it's a handmade gift from their son or daughter (hence the noodle necklaces and painted mugs she still has from when you were 6). So this Mother's Day, why not show her you've still got that creative spark by taking on a quick and easy DIY project.

Thanks to the blog One Good Thing By Jillee, we've got the perfect present that you can make. They're called lotion bars, and their job is to melt slowly upon touch to help soothe and moisturize your Mama's tired hands. The best part? There are only three simple ingredients involved:

4.5 oz beeswax
4 oz shea butter
4 oz coconut oil

Combine these together in a double boiler, melt, stir and pour the mixture into a fun mold of your choice. Let the lotion cool and voilà! The bars are ready to wrap up and gift.

So instead of buying something last minute or letting a Hallmark card give your Mom the TLC she needs, show her some love with a lotion bar, made by you with care.
