'Django Unchained' Characters: Jamie Foxx, Kerry Washington And Samuel L. Jackson Discuss Taking On Their Roles (VIDEO)

WATCH: Kerry Washington: 'Django Is The Ultimate Hero'

On this week's episode of Huff Post’s BlackVoices weekly entertainment series BV 365, Teri Johnson talked to Kerry Washington, Jamie Foxx and Samuel L. Jackson from the Quentin Tarantino film, "Django Unchained."

Washington raves about how much better of a husband Jamie Foxx is in this film versus his role in "Ray." She gushed about Foxx's heroism as Django, who treks across the country in search of his wife, Broomhilda Von Shaft.

“He so loves this woman that he takes on slavery itself to rescue her and to be with her. He’s the ultimate hero. Every woman wants to be loved like that.”

Samuel L. Jackson mentions that his character, Stephen, has the real power on the plantation and Jamie Foxx loved that he got to use his experience as a cowboy to play the leading role of Django, former slave turned bounty hunter.

BV 365 then caught up with "Real Housewives of Atlanta" cast member Porsha Stewart as she mentions how things can get a little ugly when her line is crossed. And lastly, Joe Budden stopped by AOL to talk about his upcoming album "No Love Lost," and why he chose to be on the upcoming season of Love and Hip Hop New York.
