Donald Faison's Folgers Commercial Tried To Make You Cry, Makes Him Laugh Today On 'Conan' (VIDEO)

Donald Faison's Folgers Commercial Tried To Make You Cry

Donald Faison dropped by "Conan," and may well have immediately regretted his decision to appear. It's become a bit of a late-night tradition to embarrass celebrity guests with footage from their earliest appearances in front of a camera. So Faison was treated to a Folgers coffee commercial he did many years ago.

This was when Faison was just getting into the acting business. He was 12-years-old and played a younger brother up early when his older brother returns home from serving in the military. The "joke" of the commercial was when the older brother asked Donald when he learned to make coffee.

“You have been gone for awhile!” 12-year-old Donald said.

“I think I did that take, like, 60 times and that’s what you saw. ‘You have been away a long time," Faison said, repeating the line with the emphasis on "have." Check out the full commercial below:

Faison said that the ad was from the era of commercials that were designed to make you cry, but agreed with O'Brien that it was kind of silly. Of course, now Faison is all about making people laugh. After a long and successful run on "Scrubs," he's kept at it as a lead in "The Exes," enjoying its third season on TV Land.

A slightly more serious Faison can be seen as one of the superheroes in "Kick-Ass 2," now in theaters. "Conan" airs every weeknight at 11 p.m. ET on TBS.

TV Replay scours the vast television landscape to find the most interesting, amusing, and, on a good day, amazing moments, and delivers them right to your browser.
