While President Donald Trump’s Twitter feed was noticeably inactive Thursday during former FBI Director James Comey’s hearing, one of his sons was tweeting up a storm.
The younger Trump targeted Comey, Democrats and the media. He called Comey’s comments “BS” after the former FBI director discussed what he believed to be a statement of “direction” from the president to drop an investigation into former national security adviser Michael Flynn.
According to Comey, Trump had told him, “I hope you can let this go.” Comey said he took the statement as a “direction” but acknowledged it was “not an order.”
Former Trump spokesman Jason Miller agreed with the younger Trump’s remarks:
Trump Jr. continued to offer commentary on Comey’s remarks:
He also retweeted MSNBC host Greta Van Susteren and his father’s cable news network of choice, Fox News, while commenting on Sen. Marco Rubio’s (R-Fla.) point during the hearing that there haven’t been any leaks confirming Trump is not personally under investigation:
The president’s son continued to bash Comey and Democrats as the hours rolled on, opting to pepper his feed with retweets of the usual conservative players.
He wrapped up by saying he’d had “fun.”
