After special counsel Robert Mueller indicted 13 Russians and three Russian entities on Friday for allegedly interfering in the 2016 election, President Donald Trump continues to tweet that there was no political hanky-panky from his campaign.
Russia started their anti-US campaign in 2014, long before I announced that I would run for President. The results of the election were not impacted. The Trump campaign did nothing wrong - no collusion!

Many Twitter users though were having a hard time believing the tweet:
Lol you’re so guilty. And you know it. #traitor #unfit #putinspuppet

You’re fucking kidding me, right? pic.twitter.com/emHAQVfLg4

OMG you are the most laughable #potus ever. I'm getting excited about your impeachment. Are you?? pic.twitter.com/dAuAOAdSes
— GIRL FROM MI (@girl_from_mi) February 16, 2018
Liar! You said if Russia was listening... To get and release Clinton's emails. You knew what they were doing and you encouraged it. You stole this election. You also got votes because people believed Russia propaganda and fake news.
— Melissa (@OliverNokeoMom) February 16, 2018
Go after Russia hard today. #RussiaSanctions
Some people wanted Trump to put up or shut up.
SO, THIS MEANS YOU’LL IMMEDIATELY SEVER YOUR PERSONAL TIES WITH PUTIN, ORDER AND ENFORCE STRICT RUSSIAN SANCTIONS, AND ORDER ALL AVAILABLE US INTEL AND LAW ENFORCEMENT RESOURCES TO ENSURE THIS DOESN’T HAPPEN IN THE NEXT ELECTION, RIGHT? pic.twitter.com/2XLlo26POE
— Metal Mixtress Ⓡ (@Metal_Mixtress_) February 16, 2018
What are you going to do to punish Putin for this? How about those sanctions???
— FrozenSun11 (@frozensun11) February 16, 2018
If you now admit the Russians have been attacking America since 2014.. then why do you refuse to enforce Russian sanctions #russianpuppet #traitor #fucktrump
— Political Sculptor (@politicalsculpt) February 16, 2018
Others sarcastically suggested Americans should quit crying about the 2016 election.
Libtards need to stop whining about the 13 Russian nationals at the Internet Research Agency being indicted for interference and just accept the election outcome.
— Marie Connor (@thistallawkgirl) February 16, 2018
Crooked Hillary lost and Russia won the election fair and square.
One guy thought the president was actually revealing the truth.
You duped everyone all by yourself. Got it, sir.
— Alex Rios (@alexrioscomedy) February 16, 2018
Another user appreciated the president’s sense of humor.
Almost thought this was a parody account. You got me! 😆
— Kat (@marinadelreyto) February 16, 2018
A few people had a problem with Trump’s timeline.
Check the date on this tweet Donniehttps://t.co/zEMpwxuBoB

Wrong. Russia decided operations just after Miss Universe announcement in June 13. Hired main staff after Miss Universe In Nov 13. Worked full time naming Trump as their candidate fm 2015-2016. #TrumpRussia https://t.co/X9hqYZsH00
— Malcolm Nance (@MalcolmNance) February 16, 2018
A few people thought the tweet was a sign that Trump is a little worried about Mueller’s ongoing investigation.
Your lines of defense are falling, one by one. Why not make it easy on the country & just confess all to Mueller now? Try honesty & patriotism ONE TIME. You might like it!

We've only just begun buddy.... pic.twitter.com/lFQmivWCJX

Finally, one guy suggested the real problem began much earlier than 2014.
