Donna Hudson Missing: Family Of Detroit Woman Seeks Help

'Right Now, All We Know Is That She Is Missing'

The family of a missing Michigan woman who has serious health problems is concerned for her safety and is appealing to the public for help finding her.

Donna Hudson, 50, was last seen by a family member at a restaurant on Detroit's east side on June 8. She missed a doctor's appointment the following morning and her current whereabouts are unknown.

Hudson has a heart condition, among other health issues, and does not have her medication with her, according to her sister, Beatrice Dinwiddie, 46, of Detroit.

"We are very worried about her," Dinwiddie told The Huffington Post. "This is very out of character for her. I usually take her where she needs to go and she usually calls me or her grandchildren at least every other day."

Dinwiddie said her sister's health has declined in recent years and that she has suffered from a heart attack and two strokes.

"She has not picked up her medication from the pharmacy or anything," she said.

Individuals living on the east side near Hudson's old neighborhood at Van Dyke and Miller have claimed they spotted Hudson with an unknown man prior to her disappearance. The man allegedly claimed Hudson owed him money and beat her.

"A few people said that guy jumped her but I don't know how true it is," Dinwiddie said.

Contacted by HuffPost, a spokeswoman for the Detroit Police Department said authorities have no evidence of foul play.

"Right now all we know is that she is missing," the spokeswoman said Wednesday.

Dinwiddie is hoping someone will come forward with information that leads to her missing family member.

"I don't know what really happened to her," she said. "We miss her and we are hoping she is alright."

Hudson is 5-feet, 7-inches tall, weighs about 105 pounds and has brown eyes, short gray hair and a medium brown complexion. She was last seen wearing a white shirt, light blue jeans and white gym shoes.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Detroit Police Department's Criminal Investigations Bureau at 313-596-1340.
