After traveling abroad, turn your new home into a first class cabin with our Pottery Barn picks.

Your last summer before college was probably full of adventures and friends that sparked the travel bug within you. Because the switch to college life can be bittersweet, we teamed up with to create this list of dorm room items that will bring the travel vibe into your new pad. 1. Classic bedding
No dorm room is complete without eye-catching bedding. The Ikat Medallion Deluxe Value Duvet Set from Pottery Barn (pictured above) is a classic, ocean-inspired print that will carry you through your college years. The blue and white colors bring Santorini to mind, sure to inspire a Grecian getaway. Don't forget to order the Twin XL, as most dorm beds need extra-long bedding. Side note: save your college money by purchasing complete bedding sets starting at $149. Select styles and all twin XL sheets ship free.

2. Dorm Trunk
Much like a classic European hostel, dorm rooms have limited storage space. Come prepared with one of these stylish dorm trunks. Not only does it resemble a vintage suitcase (like the one you took to summer camp as a kid), but it also provides storage for bulky items, extra seating for friends and a lounge table in one. You can even pack it up and take it home with you for holidays.

3. Greek Monogram Pillow Cover
Heading off to college means joining organizations such as greek life where you'll meet new friends to travel with. Show your pride for your new letters with one of these monogrammed pillow covers. Our favorite color is the Ogee Navy (pictured above) as it gives the print a nautical look. Not going greek? No problem. has tons of pillow covers to choose from including embroidered, metallic, and solid prints.

4. Classic Robe
After a long weekend trip (or a long day of tailgating), wrap yourself up in a dreamy-soft girl's classic robe before you tackle your homework. It's sure to give your dorm a five-star hotel feel! If you really want to put yourself in the vacation mindset, lather on a DIY mask and deep conditioning hair treatment.

5. Greek Dorm Essential Throw
With roommates in the picture, you don't always get to control the thermostat. On chilly nights, this cozy essential throw will be sure to keep you warm. We even suggest rolling it up and tossing it in your carry on bag for long flights. Greek monogramming is included in the price, although not required.
