First,"Duck Dynasty" star Si Robertson opened up about his struggles with alcoholism before he and his family of duck hunters hit it big with their A&E reality series. Now, his brother Phil is following suit.
In a new film from the Christian group, "I Am Second," Phil shares a glimpse of his dark past full of drugs, alcohol and infidelity.
"I got in a barroom brawl, the laws got after me. I went to the woods, of course,” Robertson details in a clip featured on ABC News.
His wife, Kay Robertson, also opened up about that dark time in their lives, revealing the pain she dealt with knowing that her husband was cheating on her.
“The drinking got worse. And I knew then but I didn’t want to believe it; [he] was running around on me. And what I would tell my boys all the time is, ‘That’s not your daddy. That’s the devil in your daddy,'" she explained.
A turning point came for the family after Kay convinced Phil to meet with a pastor, and they began to repair their marriage. It wasn't until after that Phil says he invented his famous duck call, the Duck Commander, which spawned a massively successful business, followed by the family's beloved reality show.
