Earth Day 2012: Celebrities Share Their Favorite Destinations (VIDEO)

WATCH: Celebs Share Their Favorite Destinations For Earth Day

Earth Day is coming up on April 22, and to get in the spirit the Sierra Club has posted a video celebrating awesome Earthly locales.

In the video, a slew of celebrities share their favorite "pieces of America," like Yosemite National Park (Corbin Bernsen), Brooklyn Bridge Park (Mayor Bloomberg), Big Sur (Laura Prepon) and the redwood forests of Northern California (Kristin Bauer).

Beyond "celebrating the mountains, deserts, grasslands, forests and whitewater rapids that make up the great outdoors," the Sierra Club is also encouraging Americans to spend more time outdoors and fall in love with nature, in the spirit of their founder John Muir.

The group is offering a trailfinder app for iPhone and a chance to win a trip to the North Cascades. To enter, vist their website and sign a pledge to spend more time outside.

This year's Earth Day comes as deforestation remains a problem around the world. Forests in Brazil and Malaysia were destroyed at alarming rates earlier in 2011, although Amazon rainforest destruction rates dropped later in the year.
