Ed Schultz Debuts Weekdays At 5 P.M. (VIDEO)

WATCH: Ed Schultz Makes His Return To Weekdays

Ed Schultz made his return to weekdays on Monday.

His show aired at 5 p.m., and opened with many clips of Schultz himself giving speeches to thunderous applause. "Let me give you the Ed guarantee," he said. "This show is not going to change. I'm still Ed. I'm still going after the stories that affect middle class everyday Americans and issues that affect your life."

He kicked off his show tackling Obamacare.

Earlier this month, MSNBC announced that Schultz was moving back to weekdays and taking Chris Matthews' spot at 5 p.m. Prior to that, his show aired on weekend nights after Chris Hayes took his 8 p.m. weekday timeslot.

Matthews was cut to just one hour, and recently asked viewers to adjust their nightly rituals to watch him at 7 p.m.
