According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actress, who got her big break on Nickelodeon's "Unfabulous," will star in Fox's new drama pilot. Roberts will play Lena Holoway in Karyn Usher's adaptation of "Delirium," based on Lauren Oliver's best-selling trilogy of the same name.
In the world of "Delirium," "love is deemed illegal and is able to be eradicated with a special procedure," according to THR. Lena has 95 days until her scheduled treatment, but then she commits an unthinkable act: She falls in love.
Usher penned the 20th Television "Delirium" pilot and will executive produce alongside Peter Chernin, Katherine Pope, Paula Mazur and Mitchell Kaplan.
Roberts' boyfriend, Evan Peters, stars on one of the biggest shows on TV, "American Horror Story," a part of Fox Entertainment Group's cable channel FX.

The "Silver Linings Playbook" actress, who's up for an Oscar, has booked a starring role in the CBS family comedy pilot as the matriarch of the sports-crazed Boston family. Weaver will play Marjorie, the "loving, exhausted and un-filtered matriarch who loves having her gay son Ronny keep her company" while her husband and other children are absorbing all things basketball. David Denman has joined "Beverly Hills Cop." The "Office" alum will star in CBS' "Beverly Hills Cop" pilot as detective Brad Fullmer. [THR]
Stephanie Beatriz is heading to Andy Samberg's cop comedy. Beatriz, who most recently played Sofia Vergara's sister on "Modern Family," has joined the cast of the Fox comedy from "Parks and Recreation's" Dan Goor and Mike Schur as Meghan, "a sexy and frightening police officer who ... scares the other cops as much as she does the criminals."
