Erin Andrews Leaving ESPN: FOX Could Be Landing Spot For Sideline Reporter (PHOTOS)

Erin Andrews is leaving ESPN, according to identical tweets by PR staffers (Josh Krulewitz, Mike Humes and Mike Soltys) at the sports media giant. The tweets about the departure of the most famous sideline reporter in sports media (sorry Craig Sager) came shortly after Richard Deitsch of Sports Illustrated reported that FOX was making a concerted effort to woo Andrews, whose contract expires this month.

Just a few weeks before this announcement, Deadspin reported that a source told them there was little interest in Andrews outside of Bristol. Even further, a rival TV executive suggested to Deadspin that ESPN's interest in her was waning, citing her lack of appearances on "Good Morning America."

Andrews becomes the second high-profile departure from ESPN in recent weeks. In May, Michelle Beadle left ESPN for NBC. The third free agent in Bristol this summer was Scott Van Pelt. He agreed to a new deal to remain with the network. On the day that Andrews departure was announced via Twitter, Van Pelt hosted "PTI," perhaps suggesting that his presence his expanding.
