Puppies Predict NFL Winners On Late Night With Jimmy Fallon (VIDEO)

WATCH: Puppies Predict 2011 NFL Winners

Predicting the winners of sporting events can be a big business with a lot of money changing hands. But on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, they take a simpler approach.

On a recent episode of his show, Fallon introduced eight cute puppies in little jerseys, each representing a different team from the NFL's National Football Conference. The puppies raced to a bowl of food to predict the real champion of the NFC this season.

The puppy representing the Philadelphia Eagles was first to the bowl. Fallon's prediction may not be too far off -- the Eagles were last season's NFC East champions and won three of their four preseason games this year, including a 24-14 victory over the New York Jets last week.

Just to be clear, we don't advocate using dogs for sport, but that little guy seems pretty content licking Jimmy Fallon's face.

This isn't the first animal used to make predictions. Earlier this year, Heidi, the cross-eyed opossum, helped Jimmy Kimmel with Oscar predictions. Check out the video below to see 'Bill Frick' and the other puppies in action.
