'Fargo' TV Series: FX In Talks To Adapt Coen Brothers' 1996 Film To Television

A 'Fargo' TV Series? Oh, Yah

Get your wood chippers ready: 'Fargo' may be heading to TV.

According to Variety, FX is in talks to adapt the Coen Brothers' 1996 black comedy into a television series. However, details surrounding the project are scarce; the report states that the plan is only in its preliminary stages.

This isn't the first time a "Fargo" program has been attempted. In 2003, Edie Falco starred in a pilot based on the film, which starred Frances McDormand, William H. Macy and Steve Buscemi. The movie explored a series of homicides in the small North Dakota town.

"Fargo" went on to win two Academy Awards, for Best Screenplay (Joel and Ethan Coen) and Best Actress (McDormand).
