Fighting For The Right To Fight: Sikh Americans In The U.S. Military

Sikh Americans have a proud history of military service. However, since the early 1980's they have faced a ban that prevents them from serving with their beards and turbans. After fighting for many years, they have just scored a major policy victory with the U.S. Army that eases many of the restrictions on their articles of faith.
