'Flight' Clip: Denzel Washington Finds Out He May Face Life In Prison, From Don Cheadle (VIDEO)

WATCH: Denzel Gets Some Bad News In This Exclusive 'Flight' Clip

"Flight," director Robert Zemeckis' grand return to live-action movies, stars Denzel Washington as pilot Whip Whitaker. Despite pulling off a heroic landing and saving most of the people on board a plane (he flew it upside down), things don't turn out so well for Whitaker.

A toxicology report finds that alcohol was in the pilot's system, causing the film to pivot sharply from a Sully Sullenberger-esque hero narrative to a tense thriller. In an scene debuting exclusively on HuffPost Entertainment and Moviefone, Whitaker is told that he is under investigation and may face manslaughter charges. If convicted, he could face life in prison.

The man delivering the bad news is Don Cheadle, who co-stars alongside John Goodman, Kelly Reilly, Melissa Leo, Bruce Greenwood (who also appears in the clip) and Nadine Velazquez. It's a strong cast, but rest assured, this is a Denzel Washington Movie. The actor's performance is already earning him heaps of Oscar buzz, so this is one to keep an eye on.

"Flight" hits theaters on Nov. 2. Watch the clip above and check out reactions from the movie's New York Film Festival premiere below.
