Fox News Host Blasts Cosmo While Megyn Kelly Does Q&A With Magazine

Fox News' Gretchen Carlson has a problem with women's fashion magazines like Cosmopolitan, Elle and Marie Claire covering politics.

Perhaps a party bus full of "half-naked dudes" bringing college students to and from the polls Tuesday wasn't her -- or the National Review's Katherine Timpf's -- cup of tea. That's fine. The only problem is that while Carlson was busy bashing Cosmopolitan Monday for being "demeaning to women" and writing "snarky words" about Republican candidates, her colleague Megyn Kelly was hosting a live Facebook Q&A with the very same publication on being a successful woman in business.

This comes on the heels of other Fox News contributors like Guy Benson taking issue with Cosmopolitan's decision to start covering politics and endorsing pro-choice candidates beginning this past August.

"Is this beyond the purview of what the readership of this magazine actually wants to see?" he said in September. "Do they want to be preached at about politics when they really just want to check out the latest fashions and these wonderful shoes you guys are all wearing?"

Carlson's segment on Monday continued in that same vein.

"A lot of people are probably wondering why fashion magazines are getting into politics and actually endorsing candidates," she said. "But that is the world that we live in now."
