Healthcare Remains Too Expensive: 'I Can't Afford To Get Sick' (WATCH)

For many Americans, medical treatment remains too expensive. And often, for those living in poverty, missing work for that treatment isn't an option either -- especially when there are medical bills to be paid.

HuffPost Live host Josh Zepps discussed these concerns with a panel of guests on HuffPost Live, including Donna Smith, a healthcare advocate, who was diagnosed with cervical cancer and had to work two jobs to pay for the bills that her employer-provided insurance didn't cover. She says she was expected to keep up a cheerful facade at work despite dealing with chemotherapy and despite working two jobs, still declared bankruptcy, a "tragedy" she says is happening to many people in this country.
