Heath Bell Slide Video: Padres Pitcher's Amazing Entrance At MLB All-Star Game

NL All-Star Steals Show With Epic Entrance

Mariano Rivera has Metallica's "Enter Sandman." Trevor Hoffman had AC/DC's "Hell's Bells." Then, there's Padres closer Heath Bell. The star relief pitcher made quite an entrance at the 2011 MLB All-Star Game on Tuesday night. When his name was announced in the top of the eighth inning, Bell walked out of the bullpen at Chase Field, took a few steps and began an all-out sprint to the pitcher's mound. Bell took an epic slide before he reached the hill, while his National League teammates laughed and looked somewhat confused. Bell recorded the final out of the inning and was then replaced by Pittsburgh's Joel Hanrahan.
