Golfer Henrik Stenson Snaps Club Over His Knee After A Not-So-Great Masters Showing

Not a great day for Henrik Stenson.

While Jordan Spieth broke records at the Masters Tournament on Friday, Henrik Stenson broke something else.

Stenson, currently ranked number two in the world, had plenty to be upset about after a rough couple of days at Augusta, so he decided to snap his club in half using just his knee. Seriously.

According to Golf.com, the Swede was having some trouble with his shots:

Stenson found the pine straw off the tee on the par-5 15th, and his second shot struck one of the trees. His third shot then found the water in front of the green.

The golfer reportedly has been dealing with flu symptoms this week, which is also not great. But he'll barely make the cut nevertheless.

Stenson's temper and golf club-breaking ways are well-documented. He broke a club over his knee at the 2014 British Open, and he snapped the head off his driver at the BMW Championship in 2013. At the same tournament, the golfer trashed his locker room, per The Golf Channel:

The damage, which included a broken shelf and the door to the locker ripped off entirely, was reportedly confirmed to be the handiwork of Stenson by his agent, R.J. Nemer, who termed the incident 'frustration that manifested itself.' Nemer added that Stenson paid for the damage inflicted and 'apologized to the appropriate parties,' though a total tab for the outburst was unclear.

Here's Stenson talking about his well-known temper in an interview from 2013:
