Move it back to Nickelodeon, Football Head!

There have been rumblings going around the Internet for a little while, but Nick is now officially taking us all in a '90s time machine every night on TeenNick starting on October 5. The new multiscreen experience is called "The Splat," and here are the shows Nick has announced it's bringing back:

  • "All That"
  • "Angry Beavers"
  • "Are You Afraid of the Dark?"
  • "CatDog"
  • "Clarissa Explains It All"
  • "Hey Arnold!"
  • "Hey Dude"
  • "Kenan & Kel"
  • "Ren & Stimpy"
  • "Legends of the Hidden Temple"
  • "Rocko’s Modern Life"
  • "Rugrats"
  • "Salute Your Shorts"
  • "The Wild Thornberrys"

In a press release, Cyma Zarghami, the President of Viacom Kids and Family Group, said "The Splat" was designed to bring together "beloved series and a high level of digital engagement to give fans a retro media experience they can’t get anywhere else.” That's apparently just fancy talk for "it's gonna be awesome."

This is how "The Splat" works. There will be a TV block on TeenNick every night from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. This will have a rotating lineup of the announced retro shows with more coming throughout the year. In addition, there will be themed weeks, including "Rugrats" Reptar Takeover, showing the best "Rugrats" episodes featuring Reptar; "Hey Arnold!" Live from the Stoop, showing episodes featuring the characters' classic stoop talks; and Nick or Treat, a call-in event for viewers.

You can also experience "The Splat" through fan-driven site TheSplat.com, which will allow fans to engage in real-time conversations, and a Splat Emoji Keyboard, featuring various Nickelodeon emoticons, stickers and GIFs.

Kel, you like this idea?

"The Splat" premieres Oct. 5 on TeenNick.
