Hillary Clinton just praised Nancy Reagan's "low key advocacy" during the AIDS crisis. I suppose it was "low key" of Nancy to deny her old friend Rock Hudson help when he was dying of AIDS? Or when Ronald Reagan and his inner circle made jokes about AIDS and did nothing to help during those desperate years? As a lifelong Democrat who has also been HIV+ since 1981, I've always loathed the GOP and thought that nothing any Democrat could say, or do, could rival the Republican slime. But now I'm forced to conclude that Hillary proved me wrong, just as Bill stunned me with the Marc Rich pardon on his last day in power. Thank God that Bernie Sanders is running. If Hillary can seriously assert that what Nancy Reagan did was advocacy of any kind as thousands and thousands died without Ronald Reagan even saying the world as the years passed, I seriously question her fitness to be our next President.
