How The #SoSheDid Campaign Is Empowering Young Women (WATCH)

It's not easy to be a teenage girl. Facing pressure from family, friends and the media to look and act a certain way, it can be difficult for a young woman to learn how to follow her own authentic path.

Victoria Song joined HuffPost Live host Caroline Modarressy-Tehrani to discuss the purpose behind her not-for-profit organization, So She Did.

“I’m 27 and I had been sort of feeling this need to have a resource like this since I was a teenager in high school,” says Song. “What I really set out to do was create the resources I always wish I had to give me guidance in a nourishing perspective around career, life and love, but [also] really from the inside out.”

After graduating from business school and working with a variety of life coaches, Song started the #SoSheDid campaign, which asks women around the world what they're most proud of, to provide young girls with the resources she wishes she had as a little girl.

“What we really want to empower young women to do is to listen to their own internal compass,” explained Song.
