'How I Met Your Mother': Ted And Barney Open Puzzles Bar, Complete With Theme Song (VIDEO)

Ted And Barney's Theme Song For Puzzles Bar On 'How I Met Your Mother'

After a rather somber event before the holiday break, wherein we learned that Robin can never have children, "How I Met Your Mother" (Mon., 8 p.m. EST on CBS) got back to more uplifting and comedic affair. Thinking about Ted telling his kids the story of Marshall telling his dead father the story of New Year's Eve is enough to give anyone a headache, so it's probably best not to think too hard about it.

The episode saw the start of something big for Robin -- viewers already know that her news career takes off in a big way at some point -- after her on-air talent wigs out at the live New Year's broadcast, and she steps in to count down to 2012. Lily's father (Chris Elliott) hangs up on her after she tells him she's pregnant, confirming her feelings about him.

It turns out, he was so overcome with joy that he left a board game convention and drove all night to cap the episode with a giant stuffed teddy bear and a warm father-daughter hug.

On the much lighter side of things, Ted and Barney's dream of running their own bar came to fruition, and Puzzles was born in Ted's apartment. Kevin is still on the outside of the group, but he's looking in and even managed to score an ill-received ad-libbed line on the "Cheers"-esque theme song Ted and Barney were writing for the bar.

Of course, they learned that running a bar is more than just good friends and drinks, and ultimately they had to raise their own prices and hire Doug from McLaren's to be their bouncer until they cleared everyone out.

Hang out with the "How I Met Your Mother" gang every Monday night at 8:00 p.m. EST on CBS.
