Window Screen Cleaning Is A Breeze With This Trick

This Trick Makes Window Screen Cleaning A Breeze

Window screens are absolute necessities in the summer. They allow us to enjoy the summer breeze without having to worry about bugs and other unwanted critters. Unfortunately, we often forget to clean them and they build up with grime, dirt and dust. Luckily, we've got an easy way to clean your screens in just a few simple steps.

The first step is to remove your screen from the window. If you're cleaning multiple screens, you'll want to label or mark each screen so the installation process is easier later. Then mix one cup of household ammonia and a tablespoon of dish detergent in about three cups of water and pour it into a spray bottle. You'll then want to move the screen into your bathtub and run it under warm water. Next spray the screen down with the solution, making sure to cover the entire screen with solution. Use a scrub brush to gently remove any grime or dirt. After, you'll run your screens under warm water to remove any excess residue. Finally, gently shake your screen free of water and allow it to air-dry. And that's all you need to do to have fresh window screens -- not so bad, right?
