Huffington Post Oasis Invites You to Re-Energize Yourself

Bobby Kennedy stopped by yesterday and shared some thoughts about how he unwinds and re-energizes himself. Dr. Michael Bernard Beckwith brought his acclaimed Agape Choir by and he offered some beautiful meditation and relaxation tips.

Larry Brilliant (director of Google's philanthropic arm Google.org), gave us a few nuggets on the difference between wisdom and intelligence. (Seems to me we have no shortage of intelligence out there, and a bit more wisdom would certainly help!)

Deidre Hall (Days of Our Lives) let us in on how she gets back in balance as a politically concerned actress and Mom. Darryl Hannah (environmental activist and star of such Hollywood hits as Blade Runner, and Steel Magnolias), Barbara Marx Hubbard, (noted futurist), and Lesley Jane Seymour (Editor-in-Chief of More magazine) were among the many who unplugged and recharged with us, as well sharing ideas about making the world a better place for all of us.

Don Hazen of Alternet.org also stopped by and had this to say about the Oasis:

One of the hot spots, or rather cool places, at the Denver Democratic Convention is the "Huffington Post Oasis," a suite of offices... transformed into a tranquil hive of blissed-out activities...

I had a fabulous massage there by Naveena Valley, who along with a bevy of body workers and instructors, was volunteering her time for the cause. I sent Mother Jones' David Corn for a visit; he got a hand message and some yoga instruction. We were followed by Timesman David Carr, who got body work...

Upon entering the Oasis visitors are treated to massages, facials and yoga instruction. Black clad, mellowed out volunteers serve all manner of tasty vegan food and super-healthy, greenish smoothies.

You can read more of his thoughts here.

Or, check out the New York Times' David Carr's video of his experience and search for serenity at the the Oasis.

Please do come by for some healthy food and drink, a bit of yoga and stretching, perhaps a massage or facial. An old adage suggests that you give from your overflow; the Oasis will help you recharge, fill yourself back up, and support your ability to get back out there and create the Change we all could use.
