Jamie Dornan Learned How To Walk On The 'Fifty Shades Of Grey' Set ... No, Really

'Fifty Shades Of Grey' Star Makes Hilarious Confession

He may be playing one of the sexiest men to ever hit the big screen, but Jamie Dornan admits it wasn't very easy for him to channel his inner Christian Grey -- especially when it came to his, well, strut.

The "Fifty Shades of Grey" star made an appearance on "The Graham Norton Show" on Friday, Feb. 28, and revealed that he learned how to walk properly on set. The Irish actor, 31, has always walked on his tiptoes, which has resulted in many of his "mates" calling him out for his "bouncy" strut.

"I've always had a complex with the way I walk," the former model revealed. "I've not always been told I've got a bad walk, but someone's always commented on my walk. It's always been a bit like, Alright. That's how you walk?'"

Dornan went on to explain that his wife, Amelia Warner, began helping him change his walk, recommending that he lean back as they practiced strolling on the streets through their London neighborhood. But it was his dance instructor on the set of "Fifty Shades" who really got the ball rolling.

While learning a routine for the part where he foxtrots with Anastasia Steele, played by Dakota Johnson, Dornan said his teacher told him to think heel-to-toe.

"No one ever told me that!" he exclaimed. "I was always toe-to-more-toe! Now I just apply that every day, when I'm walking around."
