Jason Bohn, Lawyer Accused Of Killing Girlfriend, Discusses Death On Facebook

Accused Murderer Discusses Death On Facebook

The Columbia University graduate charged with the murder of his girlfriend in their Astoria apartment, posted a disturbing message to Facebook this week.

CBS reports 33-year old lawyer Jason Bohn dictated the message to his younger brother Chris from Bellevue Hospital, who then posted it on Bohn's Facebook page. Bohn is in protective care at Bellevue.

The message read:

I suspected she was a cheater. At the very least, I gradually confirmed she was a compulsive liar, particularly with regard to relations with the opposite sex, both past and present. As a result I grew insecure and abusive. The night in question? In all honesty, it was an accident.

In short, I was heavily intoxicated, under a great deal of stress, and completely blacked out. I woke up the next morning in complete shock. My knuckles were bruised badly and she was on the floor unconscious.

Thank you for being my friends! Very heartfelt sorry to all of the people I hurt over the years, especially her and her family/friends. God Bless! Please pray for me.

In June, Bohn's girlfriend, 27-year old Danielle Thomas, was found dead laying face up in the bathtub, surrounded by bags of ice.

Bohn was arraigned on a litany of serious charges including first-degree murder, to which he pled not guilty. During the court appearance, a prosecutor described how Bohn attempted to cover up the alleged murder by calling police and saying, "I went to a house party with my girlfriend on Sunday. I got home very drunk and fell asleep. My girlfriend woke me up, I got very pissed off and threw her against the wall and she was unconscious. I want someone to check on her to make sure she's alright."

Prior to her death Thomas had filed a restraining order against Bohn after he threatened and harrassed her.

Correction: This article previously stated Bohn had graduated from Columbia University Law School, when in fact he graduated from Columbia University's undergraduate program. He obtained his law degree from the University of Florida.
