Jeffrey Sandusky, the adopted son of convicted child molester and former Penn State assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky, has been arrested in Pennsylvania on charges of sexually abusing a child, multiple outlets are reporting.

Jeffrey, 41, was arraigned on Monday in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania. Bail has been set at $200,000, and police have prohibited him from any contact with minors. He also has been suspended from his job at Pennsylvania’s Rockview State Correctional facility, according to NBC News’ Tom Winter.

Pennsylvania State police reportedly started investigating Jeffrey last November, when they discovered he had allegedly asked the child of a woman he once dated to share naked photos with him over text message. The child’s father eventually saw the text messages and notified police.

The Huffington Post reached out to the Pennsylvania State Police, who declined to provide further details. But local NBC affiliate WJAC reports that Jeffrey tried to convince the girl to erase the text messages and not tell anyone about his request.

The girl refused to do so, reportedly replying:

No, we don’t need to talk and we aren’t going to. You did what you did and I’m not going to give you a chance to try and justify it. You literally tried to guilt me into doing it and you even told me specifically what I “needed” to do. You know who does that? Rapists and abusers, not (redacted) who care about their (redacted). I don’t know how many times I need to tell you no and to stop before you get it.

A second child was also allegedly abused by Jeffrey, according to a criminal complaint.

In June 2012, Jeffrey Sandusky’s father, Jerry, was convicted of sexually abusing 10 boys over a 15-year time period. Jerry, then 68, was found guilty on 45 of 48 total counts and sentenced to 30 to 60 years in prison.

Jeffrey Sandusky’s attorney did not immediately answer a phone call seeking comment.
