New Year's is a time of making resolutions, redefining our futures and dreaming of things to come. It is also a time to reflect on the previous year - to celebrate our victories and learn from our defeats.
The Jennasis Women of Excellence event held on November 12, 2016 was a victory, indeed! Our second annual WE Speak Showcase was an Empowerment Series promoted to "Ignite and Inspire Passion into Action." Women gathered from all over to learn and grow together. The event featured some of last year's best speakers and introduced several new inspirational speakers as well.
The day started off in a whirlwind as Monica Green launched the day speaking on "Finding Purpose is Finding Peace". The day progressed as each of our amazing speakers shared their hearts:

As each speaker shared, we were reminded that women can and should have a bold voice in our society. Women were encouraged and inspired as we shared our stories, swapped advice, and opened our hearts. The day was spent in good company.
We spoke about the unique challenges of starting and running a business as a woman, and how to overcome them. We learned practical tips about managing finances, how to promote your brand and how to build an effective team. We were inspired to find our true selves, learn to forgive and to face our fears.

Since the event ended, we have already had numerous requests to hold events like this more often. Women are wanting to come together to learn and inspire each other. Our hope is that it will become a more common occurrence. As speaker Katherine Miracle stated, this event is "Better than any day at the spa..."
