Jennifer Hudson Has Harsh Words For 'American Idol'

Jennifer Hudson basically told "American Idol" to suck it during her visit to "Watch What Happens: Live." Apparently, she was none too pleased with how she was treated after getting eliminated from the show. Hudson came in 7th on the third season of the one-time juggernaut.

“I love you Simon [Cowell], but I’m not singing for you," Hudson said. "When I was eliminated from the show and I told them, I was like, ‘I will be back. I don’t know when, I don’t know how, I don’t know where. But I will be back.’ And I recall the producers laughing, and here I am."

When Andy Cohen asked her about those rumors that she might join fellow alums Kelly Clarkson and Adam Lambert at the judges' table this season, Hudson hinted that she'd been approached, but turned them down. Obviously, the show helped launch her career, but Hudson has made her own stardom both as a singer and an actress. She next stars alongside fellow "WWHL" guest Angela Bassett in the new Christmas movie, "Black Nativity." The film hits theaters Wednesday.

Jennifer Hudson can be seen as a presenter on Sunday's American Music Awards, 7 p.m. EST on ABC. "Watch What Happens: Live" airs every Sunday through Thursday at 11 p.m. EST on Bravo.
