John Turturro Talks Working With 'Friend' Woody Allen In New Film 'Fading Gigolo'

John Turturro On Working With 'Friend' Woody Allen: 'He Was A Prince'

John Turturro said Thursday that he could not have made his new film "Fading Gigolo" without his "friend" Woody Allen.

"He was a prince," Turturro told Roy Sekoff, president of HuffPost Live. "He came ready to work. He was great with all the kids -- of course they didn't know who he was. He was just this old guy... and he loved that. He loved being treated just as a regular guy."

"I couldn't have done the movie without Woody being so precise and so on time and so ready to go," he continued.

Turturro acknowledged the recent controversy surrounding the allegations of sexual abuse made against Allen by his adopted daughter Dylan, but that he had "no information about it."

"[Woody Allen] has been making many films since this alleged thing occurred, or didn't occur," he said. "For me, he's my friend, and I worked with him and I'd work with him again."

Turturro's film "Fading Gigolo" starring himself, Woody, Sharon Stone, Sofia Vergara and Vanessa Paradis opens today.
