Josh Charles Talks 'The Good Wife' Season 4: What's To Come For Will And Alicia?

'The Good Wife' Star Josh Charles Talks Will & Alicia

Do Will (Josh Charles) and Alicia (Julianna Margulies) have a shot at officially getting back together in Season 4 of "The Good Wife"? Charles has a few hints to share.

"[Will and Alicia's] relationship is shifting to a deeper place… It's not romantic, but, in an odd way, may be more enduring because it's deeper," Charles told The Hollywood Reporter. "So I like that, and it'll be interesting to see where they go with that… I never envisioned that the two of them are necessarily [going to have] an endgame where they sort of walk off into the sunset … I'm happy to just be surprised by it."

As for whether or not Alicia's estranged husband Peter (Chris Noth) will come back into her life romantically, Noth isn't hopeful. "Probably not," he told HuffPost TV of whether or not Peter and Alicia would be getting back together in Season 4.

The upcoming season of "The Good Wife" could also include some big name guest stars. The show's lead actress Julianna Margulies talked about the possibility of Alec Baldwin filming a guest spot.

"Last night Alec Baldwin told me he wants to be on the show, so I quickly emailed [series creators and executive producers Robert and Michelle King]," Margulies told THR. "I get to sort of help out that way. My connection to helping the show is to say, 'What could you write for this character or that character.'"

CORRECTION: A previous version of this post referred to Peter as Alicia's ex-husband, but they are not divorced, only separated. The error has since been correction.
