Josh Duhamel was clearly excited during his visit to "Jimmy Kimmel Live." His wife, Fergie, could go into labor at any moment. That led Kimmel to ask Duhamel if he had his phone on him. After all, what if she went into labor during the interview?
“That’s a good question. No, I did leave it backstage," Duhamel admitted. "I guess, somebody ... one of the pages will run it out here.”
“That would be exciting, if you had to dash off the stage and get home," Kimmel said. But it didn't happen.
Another thing that didn't happen was Duhamel revealing the name the couple had selected for the baby, "I can’t. She would have my balls. No pun intended.”
He did reveal the gender of the baby, though, last month on "Live with Kelly and Michael." There, he held up a blue onesie to confirm that they were having a boy.
Perez Hilton has him quoted as saying that the name is "more traditional" than some might expect. And, apparently, no one knows it but Duhamel and Fergie. "Some people may not like it, some people may think it’s really cool, but we don’t really care — that’s why we’re not telling anybody," Duhamel said. "We’re not even telling [Fergie's] mom because we don’t want to hear anything about it. That way you don’t feel like you’re second-guessing yourself. It’s between us — it’s a sacred thing.”
