Justin Long Reveals Why Steve Jobs Cast Him In Those Apple Ads

It's not every day that a film actor celebrates his work in commercials, but Justin Long did just that, referring to his Apple ads from the mid-2000s as being "a real blessing" in a HuffPost Live interview on Wednesday.

"It was just such a fun, easy job," the "Tusk" actor told host Ricky Camilleri. "I don't know, it seemed like a no-brainer. Maybe I should've thought about it more."

Long noted that he isn't sure if the commercial had "ramifications career-wise," but he's happy that the "one-off" gig wound up recurring for four years. He also explained how Steve Jobs came to hand-pick him for the campaign.

"Steve Jobs had apparently seen me in something that had just come out -- I think it was 'Accepted' -- and he felt like I reminded him of a younger version of himself," he said. "So it was also very flattering -- not intellectually, just aesthetically, so it wasn't as flattering."
