President Donald Trump’s recent threats to “open” libel laws so it’s it easier to sue the media really set off Keith Olbermann.

In his latest video for GQ’s “The Resistance” series published Monday, the commentator blasted the commander-in-chief and his minions for attacking the freedom of the press because it has “caught him lying.”

He called Trump a “pitiful thug” who wants to squash dissent ― and not just in journalism, but also free speech in general.

“Freedom of speech is the purpose of the United States of America,” Olbermann said. “And every time this country’s government has tried to alter that fact or has ignored it in the slightest, it has met with disaster.”

“Constitutional change to limit free speech would not be just a step on a slippery slope, but it would putting the entire nation in an 18-wheeler and driving it full speed down that slippery slope.”

Oh, and there’s more. Much more.
