FBI Assisting Denver Police In Search For Missing Denver Woman

DENVER (AP) -- Denver police are stepping up their investigation into the disappearance of a 19-year-old woman who was last seen nearly a week ago at a downtown nightclub.

Police spokesman Matt Murray said Thursday the disappearance of Kenia Monge (mon-hey') of Aurora is not a standard missing-person case. He wouldn't give details, saying the investigation is continuing.

He says the FBI Safe Streets Task Force and experts from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children are helping with the investigation.

Police say Monge was last seen at the 24K Lounge early April 1. She is described as 4 feet 11 inches and 115 pounds. She was wearing a black skirt, black jacket and red high-heeled shoes.
