Just 11 weeks after giving birth to her third child, Kerri Walsh Jennings is back in training -- and the three-time Olympic beach volleyball champion has her eyes set on a fourth Olympic gold.

"I'm coming back because I want to do it better," she told KNBC Tuesday. "I have so much more in me... Rio gold, baby. That’s my goal."

Jennings, who was pregnant with daughter Scout Margery when she clinched her third straight Olympic gold at the London games last year, will be 38 when the Rio Olympics take place in 2016; but the new mom insists she will not allow age to get in the way of her ambitions.

"People love talking about age, and I guess it's understandable because I'm playing against mostly 20-year-olds," the beach volleyball star told the Los Angeles Times this week. "But I feel the way I feel. I have a lot of passion in my heart and a lot of room for improvement. That's what I look at."

According to USA Today, Jennings will make her U.S. debut this season at the ASICS World Series of Beach Volleyball, slated to take place in Long Beach, Calif., later this summer. The Olympic champ says she hopes to be competing with her new partner, April Ross, at the tournament. (Jennings' longtime partner Misty May-Treanor retired after the duo's 2012 London win.)

"It's been Misty and I for so many years," Jennings, who posed nude for ESPN The Magazine's upcoming 2013 "Body Issue," told USA Today. "My first day on the beach, she wasn't there and I kind of shed a tear. But that's a beautiful thing. We had something so special that's never going to change. But this new partnership is such an exciting thing because I'm going to grow because of it, I'm going to be better because of it."
